Description: The reign of the German-Roman Emperor Lipót I, King of Hungary and Bohemia in Hungary gave birth to great religious and political discontent from the beginning. After the Transylvanian-Turkish war, Lipót tried to rule the country according to his own whims, the aim of which was to abolish the constitution and regulate religious and political life according to absolutism. The liberation of the Kingdom of Hungary did not bring any change from the Turkish yoke either, since earlier in the Bratislava Parliament of 1687, the Hungarian nobility renounced their right to resist and freely elect a king contained in point 31 of the Golden Bull. The efforts of the imperial government, which the patriots unsuccessfully opposed, became more and more prevalent. The original 10 ducats of Lipót I are extremely rare, sometimes you can find a coin at auctions. Original coin: Face value: 10 ducats Diameter: 46.8 mm Weight: 34.77 g Material: gold Museum Gallery
